curry paste used is vegan, so a vegetable curry is one
available option. Vegetable fajitas and roasted
Mediterranean vegetable salad are also suitable. These
dishes are served with various dips/sauces which are not
vegan, so ask for them without.
There
is also a daily specials board including a vegetarian
offer which in some cases may be suitable. The pub seems
to understand the vegan diet well.

Comments: The staff are friendly and helpful. The food
is good and nicely presented. Explain that you are a vegan
but most of the vegetarian main dishes seem suitable with the
exception of two that contain oyster sauce. The spring
rolls, crispy bean curd and soups are the suitable vegan
starters, the sweetcorn cakes contain egg. There is a set
vegetarian menu for £18 per person (minimum of 2 people).
This consists of mixed vegetarian starters, mixed
vegetable curry served in coconut cream, bean curd stir
fried with ginger mushroom and spring onion, mixed
vegetables stir fried with sweet and sour sauce and
steamed jasmine rice.

Comments: Inform them you
are vegan and they can provide pasta dishes and
pizza. Pizza bases are suitable so you can have them
cheese or the marinara without anchovies. The garlic bread
is vegan and the soups usually are. Once you have told the
staff you are vegan they are very helpful.At lunchtimes or
between 5.30pm and 7.30pm they do a special offer of any
pizza or pasta dish, eat in or take-away for £4.95. All dishes are available to take away at a
slightly lower price.
This Italian-style
restaurant does not appear to be interested in catering for vegans.

Although they have
vegetarian chicken on the menu, it won't stop them putting real
chicken in dishes ordered vegan. They will also put egg in when you
have asked for no egg.
