Our
Comments: Can
cater for vegans. The head chef has an excellent knowledge
of the vegan diet and given advance notice can come up
with exciting options.
Location:
Just
outside Denbigh on the A525 Ruthin Road.
Serve breakfast and
evening meals to guests. Familiar with catering for vegans and have
soya and coconut milk. Speak to guests to find out what they would
like to eat.
Our
Comments: Situated
in the Wynnstay Arms pub. Explain you are vegan. The
tomato & red pepper soup and penne or spaghetti
Arrabbiata (available as a starter or main) can be
prepared vegan. The pizza bases are suitable, so you can
have vegan pizzas. Order one without cheese or take some
vegan cheese in and they will cook it on your pizza.
Llangollen Wholefoods is two minutes walk away and stocks
Redwood super melting Cheezly, which is ideal.
Location:
Opposite
Cornerstones B&B on Bridge Street, in the town centre.
Price:
About £10 for main dishes
and around £5 for starters and puddings
Our
Comments: The cauliflower and chickpea tagine is vegan. Wrexham veggies had a vegan meal there and
they decided to keep it on the menu. According to Cathryn
from Wrexham veggies it is ‘very tasty.’
If people want more choice they would need to contact them
prior to going.

Our
Comments: They have contacted us to
assure us their chips are cooked in 100% vegetable oil
in a separate pan. Therefore it is a good place for
vegans to get chips, which by the way are excellent.
They
serve vegetarian meals but all contain cheese, so none
are suitable for vegans. It is unlicensed but they offer
a good selection of low alcohol wines and beers.

Caffi Florence,

Local vegans arranged a
meal here, giving plenty of advance warning. They were given little
choice and even a meal with Parmesan cheese on it. At the very best it
is unreliable for vegan options.

vegans is limited; chips, beans and mushy peas but
local vegans describe it as 'great'.
