for most of the year.

Location: Alongside
the B4598 between Abergavenny and Raglan.
Our
Comments: Country pub and restaurant.
There is nothing vegan on the menu but they do their best
to accomodate all dietary requirements. They are happy to
adapt dishes from the menu or the server will liaise with
the kitchen to prepare something suitable. The Hardwick is
very focused on local and seasonal ingredients, which is a
good sign but makes it difficult for them to say exactly
what vegans might expect ahead of time.
Location:
Just outside Abergavenny, on
the B4598.
Detailed directions are available on their website.
Our Comments: They have no problem catering for vegans and have done so in
the past without difficulty. Some dishes on the menu are
suitable for vegans, and they will cook other dishes if
required.
Location: Alongside

Cater for vegans. When
you contact them to book they will let you know what is on the menu
for the date in question. If nothing takes your fancy they will always
have other options to tempt you with.

Even with two day's
notice the best this restaurant can offer is a jacket potato and
salad.
Our Comments:
The white sour dough bread filled with hummus, roasted red
pepper and coriander served with fries is vegan. The warm focaccia bread
is also suitable if ordered with the same filling. This is served with a
side salad. They
can make the vegetarian sharing platter suitable for vegans.
The falafel chickpea burgers are bought in and the time our researchers
were there they did not have the packaging to confirm or deny if they
were vegan. The staff are helpful.
Vegans can have beans
on toast, jacket potatoes, salad baguette etc. The vegetarian
breakfast is suitable without egg. Tell them you don't want spread. No
soya milk.
