Our
Comments: They understand veganism
and we have had a couple of reports that they
cater extremely well for vegans. A vegan couple contacted
them in advance and were offered 4 starters, 3 mains and 4
desserts, described as of 'superb quality'.Therefore it
seems prior notice is a very good idea. The portions are
large, the service friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.
They stock dairy free ice cream.
Cottage accommodation is also available.

organic food. There are vegan items on the menu. These
can change daily but there is always something
available, for example Nutburger with a homemade spicy
tomato sauce and salads.
Location:
On the banks of the River Teifi. The Welsh Wildlife
Centre is signposted once you reach the village of

Our Comments:
The labelled
vegan options are jacket potato with ratatouille on the lunch menu and
vegan optimum nutrition salad on the evening menu. They can provide
more dishes if you mention you are vegan on booking.
Location: At the top of town, near the big church, up the hill.
Our Comments: Delicatessen, cafe
and restaurant. They don't cater specifically for
vegans, though they usually have two dishes on the
menu that would be suitable (e.g. stuffed peppers,
patatas bravas). Being a deli/cafe the menu mostly has
a meat or cheese component but they can make things
like tostado with piquillo peppers as a tapas dish,
even if it's not on the menu that day.

Our
Comments: A
regular vegan customer only needs to ring the proprietor
and say "Can you sort out something vegan for me." and
he'll make a few suggestions and prepare it. There are
always specials and one of these is frequently vegan or
veganisable. They will do their best to understand vegan
customers' needs and accommodate them. They also provide
catering and do a cracking buffet.
Location:

Our
Comments: They have several
vegetarian options on the menu, some can be adapted for
vegans particularly with prior notice.They

pan and thin crust pizza bases are vegan, so you can
have the Vegee or Vegee-Spice pizzas without cheese on
either. If you ask they will give you another topping in
place of the cheese. The wedges are also vegan. Staff
are thorough on checking suitability and very helpful.

website mentions that they offer vegan options and they

pleasant and very friendly café. They have vegan foods
and are willing to adapt dishes. If you call before you
come, they will make sure vegans have plenty to choose
from for lunch. Always have vegan Booja Booja ice cream
available (Chocolate, Ginger and Pecan flavours). Soya
milk is stocked.
Our
Comments:
There are usually a few things on the tapas menu that
are suitable for vegans or can be adapted. If you intend
having an evening meal it is best to tell them you are
vegan when you book so they can make sure there are
suitable
options.
There is another deli and restaurant in Aberystwyth,
Ceredigion.
Location:
At the top of the town just round the corner from
the free car park and opposite the Queen's Hall.
