vegan birthday cakes, cupcakes and brownies that are ideal
for any occasion or to send as unique gifts.
They are made in a dedicated vegan bakery, using quality
ingredients, many of which are organic/fair trade. Gluten,
wheat, soya, maize and sugar free diets are also catered
for.
There is a wide range of available products from chocolate
fudge cake to dairy free ‘cheese’ scones. The cakes and
cupcakes can be decorated with designs and lettering in
vegan dark, ‘milk’ and white chocolate.

Not much
for vegans at this pub restaurant chain. The chips are
suitable and side salad, vegetables and fruit. The soups
change seasonally and the following are suitable with a
white bloomer without butter: Lincolnshire Vegetable Broth,
British Broccoli and Lincolnshire Courgette & Tomato. There
is only one fryer for breaded products so meat, fish and
vegetarian options are all cooked in the same oil.
There are 7 Beefeaters in Wales located at Castleton near
Cardiff, Wenvoe, Cardiff, Llanelli, Llantrisant, Langstone,
Newport, Baglan, Port Talbot and Swansea.
The vegan
options at this pub chain are the sides of chips and garlic
bread and the dessert of rhubarb crumble (without custard).
The Welsh Brewers Fayre pubs can be found in Aberdare,
Caerphilly, Cardiff, Colwyn Bay, Ebbw Vale,
Llandudno and Llanelli.
The Red pepper penne pasta
meal and Tuscan bean soup available at this chain of coffee
shops are labelled as vegan. They also stock soya milk for
drinks.
Small chain
of coffee shops with 8 in South East Wales. They provide
soya coffees and vegan pea & mint soup (the carrot & parsnip
soup would be vegan if it did not contain honey), teacakes
(no butter), crisps and gingerbread. They do know what is
vegan. The coffee shops can be found in Abergavenny, Central
Cardiff, Albany Road and Wellfield Road (Roath, Cardiff),
Chepstow, Monmouth, Newport and Penarth. The panini are not
suitable for vegans.
American/Italian style restaurant chain. The vegan starters
are Olives and Dough Balls (ask for them with olive oil
rather than garlic & parsley butter). The pizza bases are
suitable, so for mains pizza without cheese or Penne
Arrabiata are available. The Lemon Sorbet is also vegan.
Explain to the staff you are vegan to ensure they avoid
cross contamination.

Curry club runs from 3pm-10pm on Thursdays. The Sweet
Potato, Chickpea & Spinach Curry with poppadums available on
this menu is vegan.

product and are suitable. Bean burgers are not vegan. The

Nantgarw, Swansea and Wrexham.
Pizza
restaurant chain. The pizza bases are vegan so some pizzas
are suitable without cheese. There are also some vegan
starters and sides: Roasted
tomatoes, Marcona almonds, olives marinate,
Nocellara Del Belice olives, rosemary pizza bread and dough
balls (if the garlic butter is replaced with garlic or
chilli oil). The caffe reale dessert is vegan if served
without mascarpone.
The Pizza Express restaurants in Wales are in Cardiff Bay,
Cardiff High Street, Cardiff St Davids 2, Carmarthen,
Monmouth, Swansea and Wrexham.
Pizza
restaurant and takeaway chain. The pan pizza bases are vegan
so you can have this type of pizza without cheese. The
Italian pizza bases are vegan for delivery only. The potato
wedges and savoury seasoned fries are suitable,
as are the side salad and garden salad with vinegarette.
At the restaurants the Arrabiatta pasta dish and the cous
cous and Moroccan style cous cous are vegan. The dietary
information section of their website tells you what is
suitable for vegans.
Chain of
pubs with seven in Wales at Barry, Cardiff (Canton),
Chepstow, Llanelli, Newport, Port Talbot and Wrexham. None
of their vegetarian dishes are suitable but the chips are
cooked separately. You can have a bowl of them for £2.

restaurant. The only thing suitable for vegans is nachos with no
cheese or sour cream. The portions are small and poor value. The
tortilla in the vegetable fajita contains milk. There are Welsh
